Thank you for visiting. I am Cara DeLaRosa, Certified Pet Loss Grief Coach.

I have been a part of the veterinary community here in Sonoma County since 2010, starting in the SRJC Vet Tech Program, then working closely with a holistic veterinarian before launching my own specialty pet sitting business in 2012, serving senior and special needs animals.

I have been a veterinary assistant to local mobile veterinarians since 2016, assisting them as needed with their clients. I continue to actively assist with veterinary euthanasias as well as facilitate detailed quality of life evaluations, hospice care and emotional support for my clients.

In 2016 I also became certified in Pet Loss Companioning and began to offer formal pet loss grief support sessions. I now have a beautiful office space in downtown Santa Rosa for 1-1 private grief support sessions.

I am a member of the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance as well as the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care.

I specialize in veterinary end-of-life care and provide quality of life evaluations, animal hospice support and pet loss grief support sessions for families both locally and around the United States.

I train pet parents on medication administration as well as perform limited in-person visits (SubQ fluid therapy, injectables, mat shaving, nail trims, etc).

I host an ongoing monthly pet loss support group for my private clients. It has been running for several years.

In October 2022, I launched my first self-paced online pet loss course for grieving pet parents.

Pet Loss is a topic near and dear to my heart, as the loss of my own heart animal was the catalyst for launching my animal care career. This is our story

I am someone who truly understands the profound grief experienced after pet loss and utilize the lessons gleaned from my own pet loss journey to uplift and empower grieving pet parents.

I am also a Reiki Master Level Healer, artist and intuitive, and utilize those special skills through intuitive healing sessions and custom channelled memorial pet portraits.
